    Not sure how much restoration i need to do to this ol' gem. I think she's a beautiful boat. Seems a bit underpowered, but, being a ford guy, that problem can easily be fixed. Here's some starting pics of her, most work will be mostly cosmetic...at first...lol

    going to build me up an engine over the winter, for 73 searay srv 220 (currently w/ford 302 & 888 drive) not going to go crazy like i did on the last ford motor (for car) that i did...351 stroker to make a 427windsor...but was wondering what kind a power limits the 888 drive could handle thoughts??

    interesting tach thought..

    wonder what would happen if you hook a 10 pole tach to a 20 pole alternator??? if a 20 pole alternator spins 1000 times...you would have 20,000 pulses (every 20 pulses is one revolution) correct??? if you send these 20,000 pulses to a 10 pole tachometer...the tachometer would 'think' you are...

    86 bayliner capri 1600 w/85 hp force (same year) can't find any markings on prop to know what pitch prop i have at WOT up on plane w/approx. 350-400#'s of people and gear...top speed on smooth water is 33-34 mph does this sound about right? thanks, Daniel

    1976 viking Deckboat with OMC 175 (ford 302 v8) and stringer outdrive w/rubber boot at transom. Since teh outdrive does not physically connect to the transom, and all the load is directed towards the stringers, typically how thick would this transom be?

    OMC sterndrive placement options??

    have a 1976 Viking Deck Boat with a ford small block and an OMC sterndrive (stringer??). From what i have been told by the previous owner, the sterndrive is shot. Aside from rebuilding this sterndrive, is there another sterndrive that i can use?? thanks
