    half stripped anchor bolt,need advise

    My anchor bolt at the base of my trim cylinders on my mercruiser has lost most of its threads to corrosion.I just found this out and I am launching this week.The nut tightens but not all the way.I am going to use a temporary fix like marine tex on the end of the bolt so the nut will not back off...

    Corrosion on merc bellhousing
