    new style coupler is this right

    looking into a new coupler I have a 1987 mercruiser 260 h.p. alpha 1 cant find it in manual the research I did tells me its a new style coupler 18643A7 or 18643A5 does anyone know if this is correct. Any advice would help thank you

    I cant align motor I get it exact then turn motor 180 and its way off kept trying and I believe the coupler is bad so I am buying one on ebay .my question is do I keep old coupler and align as close as I can and then replace coupler and yoke when it goes bad

    just got my engine alignment tool, here is where I am at ,dropped in engine measured engine mount bolts to put in approximately at same height ,the alignment tool does go in with a little wiggling should it slide in wtih no resistance or should it slide freely thanks for any advice

    my question is this, I have installed flywheel coupler on 1987 mercruiser 260 h.p when I took the coupler off the old engine I dont recall seeing any rubber bushings just the metal triangles at the bolt holes is this right, I used loc tite and torqued to 35 lb is this right
