yeah, I don't buy cheap carbs. I did once. It was a total failure. I rebuild carbs myself so I don't know why I did that. lol Afer rebuilding properly, it ran like a champ. Did you change the filter at the carb itself? The one where the line goes into the carb.
Appears the seals are leaking on the pump itself. You say freshwater, but salt? So you run in saltwater, and indeed that would be saltwater coming out of the pump.
I haven't done this paticular job yet, but will follow along and watch the progress. Bondo is right, pull the drive so you do not damage anything, and at that point you can service/inspect the bellows and gimbal along with alignment before lifting and after.
Shouldn’t be condensation I would not think. Mine has breather tubes though. Mine also has cracks that someone patched with jb, which cracked also, I’m having them welded though. Every fall when I pull the toon I remove the drain plugs and it’s dry.
Yes, just make a new one. I also don't see sealant on the inside bolt holes. Maby, they sealed the outside but I always use enough sealant to fill around the bolt holes all the way through.
If the starter is spinning but not engaging, it's probbaly the battery. Even keeping a battery charged won't work if it's no good. Easier to remove battery and have it tested.
Yeah that flapper looks pretty bad. Replace it. But that isn’t the issue you have with the idle part. Wish I had an answer right now but it’s late and I’m tired.
The idle should be 650 in gear under load" in the water". It also should be unrestrained, as in not tied to dock, but I've never had an issue with it being tied up to the dock.
Yeah that sounds like the prop us hitting the trim tab. Did you recently change props? Hope the drive isn’t low on oil. A little history of what the shop did with repairs would help.
See what is in there now. You use the one that matches what's there. I haven't had to use the longer one on anything I've done. I wondered why one was longer myself over the years.
