    Prop torque induced list/roll?

    I understand how the trim fin behind the prop can affect steering torque but I do not understand how it would affect boat roll. He has power steering so probably has a flat zinc.

    Looks like he didn't have it gear. You can hear it rev but nothing was spinning at least on left side. Also rear brake apparently didn't work.

    I've been through 3 or 4 of the orange poly rollers and eventually they will mark the bow also after repeated sun exposure.

    I have smart tabs. It seems to me they did help a little with ride but don't expect miracles. An 18 foot boat is getting to be a small boat these days.

    Those diagrams are usually large exaggerations. If you consider the trim gauge as 100% I can't get past around 40% before I reach the point of no benefit as Scott describes in post 5 above.

    Might be time to adjust how you're doing things. Buy one large flat tube that kinda doubles for an at rest play toy and say that's it. That's too much stuff to deal with and store.

    What you're describing is referred to as slow speed wander. Very common in boats this size. It has to do with pressure differences on the sides of the hull when off plane. There's almost nothing you can do about it but live with it. Trim tabs will help but not eliminate (in my experience)...
