    Boat purchase sales tax when buying out of state

    Does anyone from NJ have experience with buying a boat out of state? Another boat has caught my eye in VA. Do you have to suck it up and pay sales tax in both states? I know NJ sales tax on boats is 50% of the regular state sales tax and VA is 2%.
