    its the gen II type, to properly do what your doing and to preload the gears turn the unit upside down. those gearsets force the pinion upwards or use the tool to keep the driveshaft raised up by spring pressure.

    Incorrect, main bellow is specific for Alpha and alpha gen I alpha has clamps at both ends, gen II uses 1 clamp and 1 sleeve

    next step is to hook up a remote tank (6 gal outboard type) to eliminate the tank and venting. Next is remove the fuel pickup tube from the tank and verify that there is no screen INSIDE the tube

    try a product called Free-All it does wonders additionally you can drill 2 small holes right alongside the bolt to allow penentrant to get into the threads, this does not affect the strength in the housing

    should only have 3 fittings for fuel hose, the largest one is feed. guessing the red is 3/4 or 5/8 vent hose next to the fill hose (3rd pic) (4th pic feed) no AS fitting though
