1993 Evinrude 28 spl tiller throttle cable.

My cables had been replaced long ago from the PO but I found a part number stamped right before the engine (I have an inboard). Others have stated that it is stamped every couple of feet or so but with your application I can't say what you may find. I my case I found the number but still had to...

    Question On Changing Stringer Location

I would cover my boat every night and it would obviously keep the condensation off but also warm the inside of the boat up with the sun hitting it.

    Question On Changing Stringer Location

I wanted to mention that you should add a piece of wood over the seam maybe overlapping (sister) 6" on each side (possibly longer) because that seam will be a weak point. My stringers weren't nearly that tall and I was told that it is recommended.

    Transom rot

Hi Jmusick, I had the same frame of mind for my project. My boat is pretty common in my area but none are water worthy but mine is. This was my first and a huge learning experience that I am glad I went through and if I decided to do it again there were many lessons learned that will make the...

1981 Sportcraft 270 repair underway - transom, stringers, & repower

only left around an inch or two of play on either side of any areas I cleaned for bonding, mainly because I am hustling to make sure I get both of these main stringers bonded in before the first freezing temps come in (northern Ohio, we've already had a few 40's days, so just kinda hustling...

One of the things I wanted to do in the future was rewire the boat well I think I came across the motherload! There were throwing this away at work and I couldn't pass it up. I will make notes on what color replaces the factory colors for future reference.

    Question On Changing Stringer Location

I agree about the cutoff wheel. I started my demolition with one but bought a multi-tool which was much easier to manage in tighter areas and didn't make nearly the amount of dust. Not to mention what I thought to be safer.
