    ????----Why is a simple thing like a power trim / tilt solenoid now at post #35 ??----Just proof that 12 volts and wires are not well understood.-----Use the factory solenoid part #581528 and sleep better at night !

    Every outboard cylinder head I look at is warped !----Just the nature of aluminum castings.----Resurface it and test run.

    I doubt that rain water can get in , even with used washers !

    Touch blue to positive and green to negative to test for up.-----You will need the relays and wiring for it.---Do you have a switch on the control lever ?-----Wiring and 12 volts has proven to be an issue for some.----A shop will cost many beer tokens.

    You are making a MISTAKE reading the parts diagram.-----The water pressure valve is NOT located where you think it is !

    A little lube can be used for easier assembly on the work bench !-----Water is the perfect lubricant for an outboard water pump.

    A dry impeller will be submerged in water as soon as boat is launched.----There will never be any immediate damage to a properly fitted impeller.----No lubricant , other than water is needed !!

    The strut on a boat with straight inboard has a rubber bearing ( cutlass ) and it is water lubricated.----Most sailboats use this set-up.----They last for many, many hours if the water is clean,
