    Wife is keeping us afloat until I get to 62 in two years, then we will assess our status, should be able to do it. Sad to say but part of that planning is we each have rich parents in mid to late 80s, one of which has leukemiaso a 9ne to three year timeline. We don't like talking about it...

    what scott said. Attempt to find a root cause especially in a 50 or so year old motor. One thing i never thought of was replacing all the plug wires, help tremendously. Also went to electronic ignition.

    Instead of cardboard I'd use luan / floor underlayment. One piece, more stiff.
