View of unloaded trailer with pickups

I drove semi’s for a few years, then cube vans, and full sized custom vans for years. So it’s all mirrors for me. As long as I can see the edge of the trailer, preferably the driver side, I’m good. A new truck with a back up camera will probably wreck my brain.

18ft Boat Launch with RWD Suburban

Interesting. Yes, electrics are a bit different, but once she learns to keep her foot off the pedal until she needs to stop, all will be good. After 30 years of "covering" the brakes as a safe driving technique, it did take a while to unlearn this when towing a trailer with electrics.

How to wire in a fishfinder

I don't know, but think much of the interference from years ago, may have been picked up through the transducer cable. Inadequately shielded cables routed too close to other cables or mechanisms. I do remember back in the late '80's, my uncle couldn't run his transducer cable thru his engine...

    Need help identifying this boat.

I doubt this is a Starcraft. Bow cap is not correct. Transom corner caps were not welded on, on Starcraft. Also, corner caps would have had a large "star" cast in the top. And transom handles we cast in the transom caps. And the seats look a bit off. Sure, not all models were the same, but...

Rant: Can't catch a break with weekend weather...

OK, my rule of 75. If the water isn't 75* or warmer, I ain't going in past my ankles. My boat-rated clothing, long sleeve uv shirt and swim trunks are my base layer. They rarely see the sun or water. They are covered with a sweatshirt, a hoodie, a pair of jeans, and buried beneath a set of...

Rant: Can't catch a break with weekend weather...

Well, we made it out on Easter weekend, in Green Bay, high temps or 43, 47, and 50*F, and lows of 32* each night. Made for some cold fishing, but the walleye bite was on. "technically at/past the rule of 120" What does that mean ??? And what is " boat-rated clothing "? Headed north to...

    35hp choke linkage hookup?

Correct. I just checked my 35 hp, and that is where it connects. From what I can tell, this spring just holds the choke open when it is not in use. There is very little tension on it.

    Hot water heater

As far as on going cost for using the recirculating pump, I have no idea. For me, the cost of the pump, over 60' of plumbing, and ripping into the basement ceiling in several places, was gonna add over $1,000 to the cost. Just too much to justify for the convenience of quicker hot water for...

    Hot water heater

I had a completely different experience. Specialized adapters ? Just tapped into cold supply, and connected to hot out, and a 120v outlet. Power vent unit exits out the wall. Increased labor ? Parts and labor, $2131.47. At $800 a year savings over the previous electric heater, cost fully...

    Hot water heater

Went from electric to gas to cut electric bill by $70 a month. Needed high capacity for the wife's new garden soaker tub, which will empty any conventional water heater. And needed a power vent heater and an 80 gallon PV runs about $2500 and you are always heating that tankful of water. The...

    Hot water heater

On demand heats the water at the point of use . So a heater, usually electric for convenience sake, in every room with a faucet. Tankless, simply replaces your current water heater with a super fast ( high btu ) heater. Mine is gas, 174,000 btu. Btu size has to be high enough for the number...
