    Party Deck 21 Fuel Tank

It wasn't in the bilge or on the ground?

    Seasoned Mechanics

Outboard or sterndrive? I don't know any outboards that were tilted by a quadrant gear. I think everyone is sniffing an OMC Stringer. In which case the first suspect would be the tilt motor. Welcome aboard.

    OMC I/O 800

You don't really want that Seloc manual (most of the links are dead anyway). You can find the shop manual HERE. Welcome aboard.

In search for a 17 ft deck boat

I have the 19' version of that boat (assuming it's the classic). I wound up getting mine from family; would probably never have bought it on my own. However, for me it's been a very good boat. Fit and finish on some of the rigging is cheap, you can tell. But overall it runs well and handles what...

    Help Identifying Boat

Welcome aboard. That thing could be made by anybody. I'd do some searching on Montgomery Ward and Sears Jon Boats and see what you come up with. They're pretty common boats. If the HIN isn't stamped into the stern, then you're probably earlier than '76. More like '73 or earlier.

    weather station

My Acurite bit the dust about two years ago. I was thinking about replacing it, but right now all of the devices I have in the house and car wanna' tell me the weather. So, I kinda' keep forgetting about it ... making me wonder if I need another station. I'll be interested in the responses here.

    Cleaning pontoons

I just used this on an old pontoon I'm working on: https://www.iboats.com/shop/starbrite-aluminum-cleaner-restorer-64-oz.html Wasn't going for polished and perfect 'toons. Just cleaning the gunk off 'em. But I was really impressed with how well this did.

next project - a 'floating' bed

Didn't realize you were gonna' "float" the cabinet too, until I saw it. Very cool. I like the Scandinavian styles. Problem for me is I can't decide if I like the cool of the floater, like you did ... or the storage of a captain's style.

Need Advice with HDPE Houseboat Construction

I've only had to do a few renderings that need to look like they're outdoors, so I have only played so much with it. Most of mine are studio type setups. Been working in Blender for the last couple years ... I'm amazed at how capable it is.

    Need help with boat ID

You can get that out of the trailer, and probably get more if you wanted to part out the drive. The boat itself will take a few thousand dollars and a lot of time to get it back to good condition. The 80s Bayliner Capris have a cool look to them, and when in good shape they ride nice on smooth...

    Need help with boat ID

Engine is original ... LOL ... nobody else wanted 'em :) The "L" drive is a Force sorta' inboard, sorta outdrive. Force isn't necessarily a bad outboard motor, but they're obsolete and don't have a great reputation. The "L" drive mounts up like they stuck the outboard out the bottom back of the...

Oh cool ... and good on 'ya then. Enjoy! I looked up a few things, the Buccaneer was the first. But I don't think it matched that. Keep posted if you figure out what it is.

Best winds for boating in Southern Maine?

Nothing to be embarrassed about. If you hadn't asked, then I wouldn't have seen the stuff dingbat wrote. He collected a buncha' stuff in one spot that I hadn't seen that way before.

Need Advice with HDPE Houseboat Construction

A lot of piers here in Tennessee at our marinas are built like this. I think they're mostly using what are called "drums" and they are foam filled. Dunno' what the thickness is, but you can find them on the internet pretty easily. Some of the piers they build support a BUNCH of weight, so that...

Mast boom and rudder won't care what kind of boat they're on ;) I don't recognize it at all. Kinda' looked like a Chrysler, but nothing jumps out. Did it have it's sails with it? Replacing all of that rigging won't be cheap. You may find a mostly ready to go sailboat for similar money.

Do you have a true ballast swing keel, or is it just a centerboard? That setup wouldn't be unusual for a centerboard, and a 16' boat wouldn't necessarily need a true swing keel. The cam cleat kinda' suggests there wouldn't be a winch in that rigging (at least to me).

Need Advice with HDPE Houseboat Construction

I don't have any substantive answers for you aside from asking, are you wanting a houseboat that actually motors along? Or are you building a floating house? Most of what I see built like you're suggesting are piers. I think you could get what you've got setup to move some, but I'm not sure...

    Is this a venture17

Venture was a MacGregor boat, wasn't it? MacGregor's MIC code would be MAC or MGG. If your HIN starts with CYT that's the MIC code for Cobalt boats. Whom I don't believe ever built sailboats.
