    Yes, I agree. Mixing oil has been easy for me but I almost always use omc oil or any major marine brand.

    No need to replace safety switch if you have good spark. Look elsewhere or retest for GOOD spark.

    No other opinions? In my mind, flushing ports are for flushing when motor off, otherwise test tank/barrels or muffs when running.

    What year is the six? Most likely that's all you need. I like about the 82 on up....older ones are fun to work on and then put them out to pasture. (Wall) Most 6 thru 8 are the same weight. Carb and restrictor plate. Best not to fool with them.
