    Nah...thats where they pull up the tuna and cages related fishing yum yums. It protects the side of the boat from the hydraulic lift.

    Transom install is a 2 person job simply because of the prefabricated weight on this size boat. I installed 2 kitchen cabinet handles on the transom in order to lift and position. Practice it a couple of times like Jas says. Also if you are using tightbond etc. do NOT tab for @72 hours the...

    On another note you can place your mixes in a pan of ice to slow down the chem process and gain some time.

    They can be used for thru hull fixtures like a seacock assembly or simply used to mount other things like bilge pumps, water pump. They are encapsulated pcs. of wood. Typically cause you don't want to drill into the hull.

    On your tabbing the 1st pc should come out @ 3" the next pc. overlaps so @6" Wet on wet is the best chemical bond period. The next technique is called mechanical bonding.     I had some left over bilge pump hose and split it to take up the basket nest of wires for the bilge pumps. No biggy just some pics.

    3" and 6" for tabbing to hull is good. Wet out all wood and voids prior to glassing and let dry. Otherwise the wood sucks the resin out of the glass if you don't. 1708 is perfect. It already has a csm backing. Cut out moon on bottom of transom where your drain plug will go. After installed that...
