Decent day, high temps haha. My moulding came in for my electrical. It will be raised but conceals the wiring. I am able to paint it to match the interior. It will allow me to run wiring under the gauge console deck to either side, then I can pull up to underside of roof and distribute anything...
hanging near 96 deg today so slow moving outside. Put the last coat of varnish on the console platform. It's in the car drying so no pics yet of that.
Next I prepped and painted some more yellow. This time I used less thinner and it coated pretty well in 2 coats vs. prior 5.

3rd coat went down this a.m. Then to keep moving along I pulled the front deck cabin hatch. Another pia. Crap repair, stupid gaskets and silicum all over the place.

Early start today. I was going to varnish/small repairs on the console deck. Did some research, talked prior to Woodonglass and had recollections come back to this ole fart. I bought a spar urethane thinking I grabbed a spar varnish. Oh well....reorder for tomorow delivery.
Went and finally...
Picked up some African quarter sawn ribbon walnut veneer. Off amazon/ Hd. So today I prepped up the console deck, cut/fit the veneer, applied and stained. Will follow up with varnish. Happy considering its a 1st and I'm a carpenter hack.
Yesterday I made a console templatebase, it will @ 3/4" void between existing and new. The intention is to be able to pull wires under, over to both sides to a wire chase and be concealed.
Today took template pcs. and cut out for fit. Fits and looks good. 3/8" bcx. Waiting on paint for interior...
