Lower drive full down
Remove starboard side gimbal ring sensor.
Turn key ON and then turn sensor by hand to see if you can get it to move the needle.
Get needle close to where it should be and reinstall for final adjustment
What is your motor serial number?
Over temp is always lack of water flow, so start with the impeller and pump.
Remove thermostat and test in pot of water on stove with thermometer
Get a short piece of clear hose and place it in between the pump and thermostat housing, at the housing. See if...

Most of the filters are so interchangeable these days , it should be easy to find a cross. Farm was the name many years ago so I bought 3 cases of the short filters and are Penzoil PZ- something (same as fram). Still have them but stopped using them because I started using Wix

Depends on how much room you have, and on a 22 foot cabin cruiser there probably isn't much. Some use bladder tanks so they collapse. Head out and after burning 20 some gallons, place in main, fold up and stow
If you motor always gets to 225* your entire problem is the motor is to hot and all kinds of bad things can happen. Can blow a head gasket, bend valves, size piston rings. The motor should not go above 180* and raw water cooled should be 160*
First a pump can output 1000 psi but if the Reg is set to 30, then all anyone can see is 30
This can also happen if the Reg is bad and will only allow pressure up to 30 psi when it should do 37
In short the pump is not the issue
