Johnson model J115FTLECS 115hp 2 stroke 2 cylinders not firing

Wow Crosbyman, Look at all those plastic parts and fragile wires.....amazing it works or lasts at all! I love how he wants you to just clean videl components when really things should just get replaced. How about sucking on the air release nipple?? Probably taste pretty good huh! Nice video...

    1964 Johnson JW-19M Restoration project

If only it ment something. Our government watch dogs that scrupulously hail rain on American company's about quality control do nothing on imported parts and merchandising. Nobody seems to care about fixing anything.

    1993 4HP Johnson

In 91 or 92 on the 6 and 8 hp and others, they moved the shifter to the front and put the low speed idle mixture screw inside as well as other things. When I first saw the motor I said to myself....."that has to be an 80's motor"

    1993 4HP Johnson

Yes, she cleaned up well. Interesting that they didn't upgrade the 4 hp deluxe on that 93 model like they did the 6 and 8 hp.

    Johnson 50hp

It's not a choke (no carb flaps) it's a primer. Some would say better than a choke and I would agree. When pushing in on the key while engaging the starter it shoots extra fuel into the intake manifold making it easier to start when cold. Once it starts release the key. Under the cowl next to...

Johnson 50/35 Jet 5000 RPM at WOT

That's low for a 2 stroke outboard. Might want to try another tester. Otherwise I don't know much about jet pumps.

    8hp Evinrude running poorly.

What about the whole piston skirt thing? Did you disprove that?

1994 150 after few minutes it's like you turn key off let cool for 5 min and will go another few min and repeat

Well had a hunch about fuel but that kills it. Total ignition shutdown means most likely before coils and you have replaced everything else so one would point to the stator. Heating up and shutting down. Now you know how to test so hopefully it pans out.

    65273S Evinrude Shift issues

Probably need to get the plastic part out or could cause problems. Here is the link to the eBay picture I sent in post #4 but that was from a 68 or a 69 55 HP that was previously suggested. https://www.ebay.com/itm/133666791408

9.9 and 15 also. Just a plastic container. Next part?

    8hp Evinrude running poorly.

Check that, I might have received the wrong info....fits 6 and 8. Same part number

    8hp Evinrude running poorly.

    Fits 6, 8, 9.9 and 15. Probably won't matter much.

    65273S Evinrude Shift issues

Maybe you broke the plastic part off when you removed it. I would wait for guidance from someone who has worked on these because maybe you have to pull everything out to access it. I have never worked on one of these.

Yamaha 220hp V6 2 Stroke Oil Leaking out of exhaust prop area

Read this thread entirely. I believe it's the same problem you have and how people have corrected it https://www.yamahaoutboardparts.com/forum/general-discussion/yamaha-outboard-forum/14826-1988-yamaha-200-etxg-outboard-oil-leak-in-cowling

Maybe try a cleaned out shop vac and then grab it from there. Or a grab it tool

    1993 Johnson 150 V6 overheating

I rinse with "salt away" but once your plugged i doubt it will work. There is also a product called Barnacle buster. Lots of online stuff about testing rectifier and stator with a multimeter.
