    I would think the exciter connection should be zero, as in the bridge rectifier should block everything

    What is one of the motors serial number? Most coils never fail, folks replace them often but very, very rare if they actually are bad Could pull some plugs to see if they look the same or if a few are fowling out

    I would think about using a LifePo4 Bat. These Bats can be drained almost dead and still be fine. A small one could run the puller most the day and still be fine. Just recharge upon returning

    Give or take your meter, but 100% full charge for lead acid Bat is 12.7V It's fully changed. Bat might read more then 12.7 when taken off a charger for a couple hours

    I would replace the distributor cap. While it may not be the problem the flat caps are known to go out without warning. So much so it's recommend to keep a spare on board
