    You cannot run out the bottom carbs on that motor ,unless you are above 1800 rpm Make sure the airbox gasket is in good condition and the hose is connected to the crankcase

    Make sure the snap ring is on tight and the knob is not pushing out. You may need to modify the adjuster I have never seen one that actually worked correctly. leeroysramblings.com has a lot of good info on those.

    Is this a looper or a crossflow? V6 or V4? Is this another Vr0 pump or a standard pump? If it is a standard was the pulse limiter removed?

    What happens when you pump th primer ball on the fuel line? Primer ball on correctly arrow facing motor? Try opening the low speed screw another 1/4 turn open.

    It is not an idle knob it is a throttle lock to set a speed for trolling. Clearly stated in owners manuals from OMC.

    They are not different manufacturers. 583773 is NLA and has been superseded by 584028. So you are getting the correct part #.

    What happens when you pump the primer ball on the fuel line?

    I believe that is an xblock looper. That means the portside cylinders use the starboard carbs and vice versa. I believe, if not somebody will be along to contradict me.

    That is usually when they start to act up when they get warm. Stay away from the inline spark testers. Get one that has an actual adjustable air gap

    Whats it running wih the thermostas in it? 100 is way to low and is this a looper or a crossflow motor?
