    The impeller is stainless steel, so the rubber wasn't that. Stainless impeller? Never heard of that, have a link or picture of one??

    Withdrawal is hard. I visualize the new owner abusing them when daydreaming. However, I gave away a 1985 deep-v Sylvan to a friend, I acquired it free also, but I didn't run it or test it at all. He's been using it and calls me with questions when needed. He works on one of the apostle islands...

    Bone headed move - put the plug in with 3M 4200

    I use nothing on the plug and only snug it in. it never leaks and easily comes out in the fall.

    I get 2 years out of the blue tarps. But I make sure they are out of the wind as much as possible and clean off the snow regularly. I also make a teepee type support so the snow can slide off easily.

    Ok Regardless, it should come out without cutting the area. Did you try to pry it out slowly and carefully.it could be glued down, did you try any adhesive remover along the edges? On another note, did you take a skinny pic and prod the holes to see if there are screws down deep?

    All out and coverd. The runabout, I got it running by jumping the starter. Did not find the issue as we had to get things done before today as the weather is getting pretty cold and stuff. Have to winterize the cabin today….

    The runabout and the toon will be pulled today. Covered for the winter. Hope I get the runabout going, yesterday it quit cranking over but it was late in the day so I’ll have to test the wiring. Battery is fine and charged, starter was replaced this spring. Ugh…

    The only issue I would see is if you hit the dock it might rip. Requiring a new wrap.

    Replace the sender. If the old one is hanging up it's going bad.
