    Never ever ever try to run the drive in a bucket. you need muffs, or the boat in the water you need the impeller flooded to prime it. unless the bucket covers the outdrive, if you want to run on land, use a bucket I personally would pull the drive and set asside, then hook the garden hose...

    If you go up in torque, you need to come down in gear ratio. The cone clutches will be fine. The lower may need to be swapped
