Bravo 3 X upper gear timing marks missing

Neve heard of balancing gear-sets. Yes by design they are very close. As stated earlier, it’s for wear patterns. Mis-match a wear pattern and it could fail. An example is when I took off the chain on my old wheeler, upon installing I could not get the tension right, either to loose after...

Well I had a ford truck that would “black out” while turning, got hard to steer. New ps pump cured it.

    OMC water pump reliability modification.

In most cases people forget to drop anchor if getting close to shore. I know in some area’s you simply can’t. I’m on the Great Lakes and it can get nasty out here to. I carry two anchors and a lot of rode.

    Bravo two water tube

Thank you. I thought that was the case. I just didn’t find it online as an update. It fit perfectly, I’ve installed this version before and the old version a lot also. I always thought that they were just different models/years designs. Thanks again.

    Bravo two water tube

Question is, the water tube that was removed is just the hose with the tapered insert that screws in. The new bellows/ tube kit containers the water hose, but the transom end is the hard plastic type that has the grommet and set tool. Is the new one an updated version or did I get the wrong...

Check on the motor itself, is the oil tank low?

    Gas tank hole fastenings

You may have to remove parts of the interior to access the underside of the cleat area. On my smaller boat I had to drill 6" holes after I took off the interior pieces to gain access. They are usually put on before the cap goes on so you can't get at them without some thinking/engineering.

Alarm noise when the key is on

Well did you have it running? If it did it after started but not warmed up, I'd say the drive lube, or oil pressure. The drive lube monitor float will stick sometimes as the bottle should be cleaned out on occasion.

Is This Normal? Merc 3.0 alpha one gen two 2009

Looks green goop to me in the pics, it shouldn't be there. Also the gimble bearing don't look good. It should turn smooth with your fingers, no rough spots. Back to your question, you stated you changed the seals, did you change all of them including the shift shaft seal? And welcome to I boats.

    squeaky leaf springs

Confession is good for the soul though, and I thank you all. Color me feeling dumb. No worries, we've all done the opposite of what should be done. If ya aint learning ya aint working. I tend to call it experience.

Alarm noise when the key is on

It’s supposed to do that Before the motor starts to tell you it’s working. If it does it after it’s running you have an issue.

A couple of quick Edelbrock ?'s

That’s where the 5-7 lbs of force comes in. It don’t tell you if the float is saturated. A brass float seldom goes bad, the plastic ones saturate and get to heavy. I don’t know what the weight of the plastic ones are from new, so I just replace them as part of the job.
