    drip chamber crudded ??? side channel feeding fuel to the LS circuit cleaned and blown...? check closely for a very small feeder hole in the side channel cam & follower adjusted properly ?

    Try tim's outboard or classifieds on AOMCI site. did you check and adjust the linkage in the PDF I sent you . you may also want to verify the shift rod link to make certain the bolts fits in the rods recess correctly btw you did not remove the philipps head screw in the gearcase did...

    you could poke a screwdriver in a sparkplug hole and rotate the FW till you carefully sense you are at TDC...... then check the marks on the FW

    agree... yet in start mode after the choke plate opens up the fuel mostly comes from the idle cct part of the carb until given throttle . it should idle after starting

    ok you got fire and fuel..... what about compression #s now you need to get the gas inside the cylinders.... do you feel a good suction on the carb face ? my understanding of carbs is that the first shot of "fumes" comes from choking and the top idle passage idle chamber/drip holes...

    you can also try freeze chock a can of keyboard dust cleaner from the dollar store held upside down will shoot liquid propellant to freeze the bolt head hopefully the contraction can break the bond between the bolt and the engine body I also found that Dupont silicone...

    I am not to certain I understand precisely ... what you found but if you found the problem great. before you spend $$$ did you try polishing all the surfaces of male/female contacts of the connector. It may be all it needs thanks for the feedback

    reading 5 volts along a wire.... indicates that the source voltage (12v) has dropped in proportion to the resistive load ..... as in Ohms law. wherever your read 5 volts "across" something means the 12v is being shared along a resistive path between a solid 12 v at a source down...

    what exactly is it you do to JUMP THE POWER AROUND THE PLUG ?? are you " bridging wire to wire " ??? if so the contacts need to be cleaned ...did you ? when we put in gear it still cranks...? are you saying the starter keeps spinning or trying to spin the engine while in forward gear...
