    did you thoroughly clean the block after getting it from the machine shop? or just get it and start assembling? Normally it takes about 25 minutes of washing going into each and every passage with pressurized water, dawn dish soap and a variety of scrub brushes and pipe cleaners.

    welcome aboard. if its a 3 wire solenoid, then yes, mounting tab is the ground if a 4 wire solenoid, then no was the solenoid from NAPA a marine one, or automotive. because an automotive one will ignite fumes in the bilge and blow you to Jesus or which ever god you worship

    stop trying to pump water from a tote. if it works, you are lucky. these pumps are flood to prime, meaning the water level must be 6" or more above the impeller or use muffs. to get water 6" or more above the impeller, the boat must be in a tote big enough to get the drives submerged.

    That pump is what pumps cooling water. So fix the pump, find all the pieces of the damaged impeller and replace all the rubber bits in your exhaust system that you burned up with no water. Hope you are not trying to run the motor in a bucket. Always use muffs or launch the boat

    Regarding the 1409 Edelbrock Do not use more than 6.5 PSI fuel pressure. Excessive fuel pressure may cause flooding. If your fuel pressure is too high, install an adjustable pressure regulator, such as Edelbrock #8190.

    Simple math would say 4+24=28 Not sure why you would set your base timing low at 4 Plus the 350 mag MPI should have a specific timing setup procedure in the Mercruiser manual

    24 degrees of advance with base timing if 8 degrees is 32 degrees total Or are you only seeing 24 degrees total?
