with proper maintenance, about another 4000-5000 hours, or at that rate you are going (29.2 hours per year) about 172 years (seriously, the norm is 50 hours per year). use your boat more. however parts may not be available in another 30 years, and truth is most boat motors are murdered from...

    Anti Seize or Not?

as a side note, on a regular vehicle. Maalox or other tummy feel good stuff works great to coat exhaust bolts. the temp turns it into a powder, and 20 years later, they come out as if they were just installed.

    c4 duo prop question

on the 2557 Montego, original engine was an AQ271C (275hp) with a DP290 and it came with B3's. you are over-prop'd with the C4's and someone swapped your drive from the 290 to the 280 (I have known a few Montego owners as well as a bunch of the guys at Carver in the late 80's) VP does not put...

    Compression Question

re-check cylinder 1. you may have water or oil in it, or your gauge is reading 30 psi high and the following 3 cylinders are a bit low. spec is 150 psi for cranking compression numbers. however since you mention your oil is hazy, I would change it.
