    Head holding tank pump out

That is the closest and cheapest I can find. There is a marina 100ft from where I launch but to get fuel or pump out you must have a slip. The next closest marina in the direction I will be headed 90% of the time is the 25 miles away.

    Head holding tank pump out

Just looked at them and seem cool but for $1200 USD compared to $60 each time that would take a while to pay off and justify. Might go a bit and see how often I need to empty it then see if they pay off might be worth it.

    Head holding tank pump out

Yeah it is kinda sad what I read but I have not found anything official on it yet and the sales guy said he is unsure too. The 212CC is not made anymore but the sales guy said the 222CC is a rename of the 212CC so I think that if I can find official specs on it then I am good but the Blackfin...

    Head holding tank pump out

Good to know I can go that long and I have no clue if it does, this is the first time I have ever had a boat with a head and I didn't know what to look for. I pick it up April 11 so will check shortly after that I guess

    Head holding tank pump out

This will be my first ever year with a boat that has a head onboard. I don't expect it to be used much and was wondering about the process of pumping it out. I will be trailering it and keeping it likely at a yacht club near the ramp I will go to if the one at the club doesn't work for me. Which...

    Which fuel to use?

Yeah budgeting and boating doesn't fit well but I have to lol I gave up on retirement savings for 3 years over my Glastron 😂 I agreed with myself on that I would set a budget for boats and not break it or I would not get a boat because I don't want to end up screwed and working till I die. The...

    Which fuel to use?

Oh yeah, it's the cheapest by far lol My payment is the most expensive part for me. Just with cheaper fuel, it means that the money I set aside for the boat for the year means I have more room for fuel than I did before. I budget tightly so I will set a budget for the boat's monthly cost...

Always thinking about the 'next' boat . . .

I just bought my 2019 Blackfin 212CC and am already pricing out a next boat. I am not sure if I want to go to a Blackfin 272CC as my only boat or get a cruiser as a second one. I was thinking a SeaRay Sundancer 320 OB but that is a few years away since before that I want my place on the St Lawerence

    Which fuel to use?

Thanks all! I will be running 87 in it this summer then so hopefully with prices being cheaper I can have an excuse to get out more 😂

    Which fuel to use?

I have a Mercury 2019 225HP XL on a boat I just bought and have yet to pick up. I checked the Mercury website and PDF, it shows to use 87 fuel but everything I have ever heard is marine engines work best with 91/premium and that is all the marinas around me sell too far as I know. I am wondering...

    Blackfin 212CC worth it?

Ah okay, yeah all that was done and service records to show it from a dealer

    Blackfin 212CC worth it?

It sat a lot yes, what do you mean by PMs? It has full service records from the original dealer. All looks good there just super low hours I am guessing because of the whole world going sideways I'm good with low hours if taken care of and properly maintained.

    Blackfin 212CC worth it?

I am currently looking at a 2019 Blackfin 212CC listed at $115k CAD. It has most options but is missing a few accessories like the cooler. Also has only 19 hours on it. I am wondering if this is a good deal or not. I could not find any comparables thanks to it being winter. Also if anyone...

What are the benefits of NMMA yacht certification?

Ah okay that makes sense with what I saw then. The boats still had weight limits on the plates but not person limits just 'yacht'. I think for me that isn't of much value as I boat with 2-6 people at most

What are the benefits of NMMA yacht certification?

No real hang up just got curious about it since I saw that most boats above 26ft have 'yacht' on the rating plate. No clue if it actually mattered or not. If it gave some advantage might be worth a bit bigger boat otherwise might not be worth going bigger as I don't really need it and cost wise...

What are the benefits of NMMA yacht certification?

The Wellcraft 262 fishermen I looked at had a capacity plate that showed the US as 'yacht' and Canadian as 'X people' I forget the actual number but think it was 12.

What are the benefits of NMMA yacht certification?

What's the point of including "yacht" in the class/certification name then? I know of the goal of standards, though, wasn't sure if it somehow got you different laws that apply or something like that. I know the 26ft Wellcraft I looked at had no rating for people onboard like the 24ft wellcraft...

What are the benefits of NMMA yacht certification?

I am considering two boats in the next 1-2 years, the Robalo 272 (yacht rated 27ft) and the other is the Robalo 250 (25ft). I am tied to which one I like more. I am a bit curious about what the NMMA yacht certification gets me both in Canada and the US. I am looking at moving south of the border...

Wellcraft or Robalo or Black Fin or BW for CC?

There is none till $250k I think. The quote doesn't have it well sorta it has it as $0 which lines up with what I know. Anyways that's a financial question more so than boat

Wellcraft or Robalo or Black Fin or BW for CC?

Exactly my main reasoning, I am out with a max of 2-3 adults and 1-2 kids plus 90% of the time it will be 2 adults and a dog. Seating isn't my concern but instead handling rough water to be out any day I want - limited time off work so have to take what weather I can get - and also my parents...
