    Ten years ago I got a used 1994 yamaha 130 2-stroke. I did a leakdown test today and the two cylinders on the left side tested good 5-6psi leakage, the two on the right are at 10psi. Would replacing the head gasket help?

    Does anyone know if anyone still sells props for old Mercs? I need one for a 1972 merc 50hp. 11 splines, an 11" or 12" pitch will work. The part number on the old prop is 48-32186A1-12.

    1985 Mercury 90hp in-line six compression

    A friend got a 1985 Mercury in-line 6. I tested the compression for him and was surprised that all six cylinders were over 150lbs. Is this normal for these old tower of powers? It doesn't look like its been cracked open and rebuilt.

    Got a 1988 Merc 220 xri thats running like its a 5 cylinder instead of a six. Spark is good but I think the #6 cylinder isn't getting fuel? Is this possible on a efi? Does each injector feed each cylinder? This will be my first time working on an efi so I'm alittle green...

    1997 35HP Johnson won't idle...needs rich/lean screw adjustment.

    motor sounds like its flooding, won't run for long and dies. i don't have the air silencer hooked up and when i tilted the motor up, quite a bit of fuel poured out of the drain tube for the air box...does this sound like a reed issue?

    Got a 1994 130hp Yamaha 2-stroke, model 130TLRS, that I rigging in a bass boat. I prefer the "push to choke" style key switch. So I got one, 703-82510-43-00, connected each wire to the matching color wire but no luck. The motor will turn over but thinks the kill switch lanyard is off. No spark...

    Bummer...so I got a couple of plastic "tees" and hose and just connected the similar fittings.

    I noticed a lot of fuel in the bottom cowl after running it. Closer inspection revealed that none of the bleed lines were there. can someone post the line routeing diagram?

    yes, the previous owner had the oil injection removed.
