    Marine gas gauge shows less than empty.

    When full or near full my old sender would read empty empty on the gauge. I'd pull it and check the resistance sweep with a meter and then go from there. It could also be a bad ground... I assume this is one of the units that grounds through a staple in the gasket?

    Only other thing I can think of is to plate the area around the end of the rail... effectively making the rail end formers big rail end formers. Wouldn't look great but the load would be very spread out at least.

    I recently tried the carver sundura. It does leak slightly... mostly at the seams and even at that I'm talking a teaspoon of water after an inch plus of rain in about 20 minutes... it's a non issue. It fits well enough I'd trailer with it but I usually just rock the cockpit cover for that...
