    did you remove all wires from the point screw because your primary coil wire goes to ground and a bad condenser could be shorted to ground . test only from the screw side and frame ground .......if the points visually open at the high point of the cam you will see infinity (ol) millions of...

    the actual gap isn't all that critical. the timing of the openning is critical see video. .020 is a ballpark using the high point of the cam just adjust the gap openning " time" per video

    just disconnect the cross pin holding the shift rod near the PH (on the side) models vary .. do not turn (unscrew or screw the shift rod.. keep it aligned when replacing

    the bulb does not stay firm so that is not the problem it is only used to fill the carb then the fuel pump sucks up what it needs. hard to belive 6g/hr burn rate fine for a 50hp carbed Merc WOT pulling skiers but not a 10hp in a barrel !! oily barrel water is fine not an issue 2...

    make certain water tube grommet does not block the small holes in the pump housing . make certain holes are clear so what do you have 62-63 72 post model number !!!

    looks nice but does not change engine performance :) why ??? who knows... engine shows general lack of care .. heavy salt deposits externally owner propably never did flushes inside and outside the engine ...proceed with caution is what I would do. it may be a gem or a rock

    no expert on boat performance but 75hp ETEC known to be 10% underrated so you would have about 82-83hp to push your rig... not much difference big big savings of $5G fuel low oil consumption NO SMELLY OIL using xd100 great torque ... consumes .6L/hr trolling and the early ones actually...
