    Carburetor Issues, Dripping Carbs...

Rochester Quad-Jet? When they work, they work fine. I had a few over decades that leaked. One leaker was on an Olds 442 Muscle car. A couple of others were on MC. I could never completely stop one off the MC leakers from leaking. I pitched and bought a rebuilt marine carb. End of problems...

1998 Mercruiser 5.0 Intake manifold gasket mismatch issues

There have been too many replies to the Op original post for my old mind to filter. However, back in the day, I had a 95 proline with twin MC 350 block motors. It was salt water cooled. It had the newer heads and block w/o a fuel pump cavity. Block was designed for Throttle-Body FI. Obviously...

1998 Mercruiser 5.0 Intake manifold gasket mismatch issues

The heads may have been swapped out too and don't match block. Any chance you have gaskets flipped? If my old memory serves me correctly, manifold gaskets are "keyed" to only fit one way. If my memory is correct, GM changed 350 head designs around 1995. Are heads vortex, pre-1995 or 1995 and newer??

MerCruiser 4.3L V6 milkshake oil from cracked intake manifold, how to remove milkshake oil?

that's low compression. I believe all should be >150. You have to find water leak. That will determine if block is salvageable or requiring a total rebuild.

I learned years ago that most boaters buy pretty and don't think about issues "down the road. "

Oil Pressure Switch for Fuel Pump - Strange Happenings

My best guess is that someone jerry-rigged it in order to get it to work and come home but then didn't fix it to CG specs. Go to adult section for how to install the proper oil switch and wiring. There are safety concerns!!!!! I hope electric pump is not an automotive type. I owned 2 alphas...

That's a lot of H2O. Did you check alignment after pulling drive? I am not familiar with B3, but it is best to check shaft alignment anytime drive is pulled. Did you check drive lube for contamination? Regreased u joints????

    Kinda Clueless in South Jersey

You have a car/truck engine in the boat?. Take it to an independent and reliable car mechanic. Did engine heat up? Run out of oil? Is there water on the oil dip stick? Is motor anti-freeze cooled or 100% sea-lake water cooled? If water (milk or milk-brown) on dip stick, you may have a cooling...

    Trim stopped working

check for corroded battery connections/contacts and then for bad solenoid. Noids are easy to test by jumping them. I had a Proline who "ate" noids. You may also have crack in one of the copper wire's insulations. use miltimeter to check voltage coming and going.
