    My boat is 4.2m and as such I think 2 peeps is max ....and we never had kids ( scared 5hitless Id have one like me ) and in general wimmin on boats falls in with wimmin on booze cruises ....nah....coz they nearly always want propper toilets whereas the guys are happy to just stop anywhere...

    Huh, I just hang my arse over the side of the boat and let er rip 😂😂 Better add that I am often a km offshore and with no other boat in sight , and its a rare occasion that I get caught out , but #1 over the side aint unusual .

    I seen it on tv once , guy reckoned that a bit of flame to instantly burn the wings off anything coming out rendered them immobile and easier/safer to deal with from there on .     There is spell checker which only underlines spelling mistakes ,and if you hit the underlined word it gives you options , then there is the auto correct which I think is what your refering to . Easiest way to suss it is to google "how to turn off auto correct " , its usually on -settings-...

    Yeah I get all that jimmbo 🙂. Is the afore mentioned bonehead still allowed to fit his uscg approved fuel line himself ? Just that Im thinkin that its the fitting of the fuel line rather than the line itself thats likely to give rise to any safety issues

    What a load of crap ....rules for the sake of it . Here in NZ any decent fuel hose has the standard it needs printed on the side and usually its intended use ....like fuel or vacuum , and us Kiwi's (mostly...we have dickheads too ) have enough common sense to not use wiper/washer hose for fuel...

    Is everything tickety boo at the helm end of the cables ....nothing with a bit much free play ? 🙂 I recall ( maybe wrongly ) that there are sometimes options for where on the lever the cables can be fitted so as to be able to adjust the amount of travel the cable gets ....like moving the cable...

    Double lip/extended lip seal - which way does it install??

    Oooh I do like the rubber coated ones ....sorta self sealing and fitting in the bore and thusly bore interference isnt critical . I have used the non coated ones and yes the bore fit is important with them but then the also need some sort of sealing compound on them to insure they dont leak...

    More info please .....like what your actually asking about would be helpful ,a steering unit could be any number of bits of a steering system 🙂

    Small crack in lower unit

    Do drill a small hole as mentioned by both respondents above . There is a chance that this was caused by corrosion building up and forcing the lip out and cracking .....with that in mind when you refit the bearing carrier pack some sealing goo in there so as to keep water out of the joint area...

    Nappa ...or any other vehicle parts warehouse ....you can usually get good hose clips there too🙂
