    Carry a big screwdriver or pry bar in your tool kit to back off the pads if bleeder doesn't do it. A small C clamp or it it has metal lines, bend it sharply to stop fluid flow. Push comes to shove, remove the caliper and suspend it to the frame and get home.

    Grab a metal coat hanger and make all you need. As mentioned, I prefer cable ties myself or mabey a combination of wire hooks and cable ties.

    When I had my 3.0 in my Islander, I to was impressed with fuel economy. My boat had a 25 gallon tank and could easily cover 100 miles on that tank, at cruising speed....wide open makes any engine a gas hog....

    As long as your going slow, you should have no issues with running on 2 of 3 wheels. No highway speeds, but keeping it under 20 should not cause a problem. When I worked at a marina, we often saw people moving boats on trailers with less than the required number of wheels and never an issue...

    I have always had better success with NGK over Chumpions...I was also forced to switch to champions due to NGK no longer producing their plug. So far, so good, no complaints yet....

    Even with nails and screws, when you move them, they start leaking.... With all the crap on the road today, surprised we don't have more flats !

    Very true, but sometimes you use what you have. I worked in a die shop at that time, we had all kinds I of setup fixtures...at home in a garage....yep would be a challenge !

    I never heard that, and mine turned out ok. Remember, your inky removing a tiny amount of the dia....015 up to .030. Heavy cuts might make a difference.

    Who makes covers that are any good?

    My last custom cover was made from a material that looked like convert able car top material. After 10 years, still looked like new, never had to recover with waterproof stuff. Also has to fit right.......never leaked a drop !

    Yep...retired tool maker here, did a few small motors on our Bridgeport mill with a boring head over my 50 years. Once setup, it was not that hard.
