Thanks both of you have good ideas, similar to my initial thoughts. Mike does some nice work so thinking maybe he has another idea out of the box
On the side im going to trade in the boat and get a 270 Formula bowrider fore next season
And I'll go back to my original thought, that your within 200 rpm of max now what makes you think that if you get the extra 200 rpm at WOT will gain you anything at lower rpm with more weight?
(making number up) So if you have 9 people on the toon and it's getting 2.5 MPG at 5500 rpm that is not relevant because you want to turn 6000 even if your getting 1.5 MPG
There is a guy here on our lake with a 26 ft tri-toon with twin 450R's
Don't know of a go fast on the lake that can catch him
Suggestions on how to repair the latch hole?
Yes this is my Craparral where looks like they used a drill bit to cut the hole instead of a jig. Anyway the chrome latch piece is to low but raising it any means there is no place to screw in bottom screw
@MikeSchinlaub
There is always a give take between max RPM achievable and max RPM performance increase. Gaining that last 200 RPM may not gain any speed because of the Torque curve. Max Torque starts to fall off as RPM increases past the Torque peek
102 is the Fed standard same is 13'6" on height. Many states have no issue with 9'6" and others is 10'0", but others have issue. That's why i mentioned "depends on the state"
When I get a newer 8.2 with Gen 3 cool fuel I will be changing it over to older Gen 2 or even a Aeromotive (or other) with return to tank option and fix the Merc crud. Time to fix a bad design
Stuff changes, things that don't bring in money is left behind
Things that use to be use this or you will damage your drive/motor is mostly smoke and mirrors. So goes Merc, VP and others, so how much is actually real and what is hype?
You did say something recently that really caught my...

ok, thanks
Need to get some readings from the motor when its running. To do this you need either Diacom (best) or at least Techmate Pro. These are made by Rinda and cost some.
With out this you can try to measure voltages at the TPS, MAP and Temp sensors and record them at different RPM's so...
Wells Fargo has come up many times in the news and not in the good way. Doing a quick search I find WF has been fined over 200 times. Question; WF is not the worst at being fined that would be Bank of America, WF is 4th on the list. Why would you work for them?
Ok, so does your adjustable Reg change any from idle to WOT?
For a motor that was just rebuilt and installed it sure looks like it has not been taken care of. What manufacture did you buy your injectors from, or did you get them from Amazon or Ebay?
Did your problems start right after the...
Totally agree, been debt free for about 18 years now
We put everything on cash back credit cards and pay off every month. CC Companies pay use now to use their cards ;)
Fuel pressure for your serial number should be 30 psi according to manual 24
What is connected to the Schrader valve and why is the Temp wire not connected? Now it that wire is Tan/Blue stripe then it's the Temp Alarm
How are you adjusting the fuel pressure?
You have a MEFI 3 ECM and need to...
It works out around 50% when you take into account, Medicare increase x 2.
Never gave it much thought because we don't need our IRA's. I'll be moving around 190K each year for the next 4 years into Roth, this will keep us in the 24% bracket
