    do you have a high-speed nose and pickup on the foot? why do you need a jack plate on a 15' boat? are you racing? or running flats? because if you are running flats, a tunnel hull would be better than a V-hull, then you can run in 2" of water

    as stated, BBC's some supercharged LS motors. the PWC based jets are similar but different as you eluded to. they are designed for mass-production. Where Berkely / Jacuzzi / dominator / drake, etc. were specialty products think toyota tercell vs a hand-build vehicle.

    I believe its supposed to be flat within 1.5mm over a 1 meter length (with a straight-edge). but that is memory. then I recall a 3mm parallel requirement (which doesnt make sense for parallel) I would want the transom flat where the motor clamp sits on the outside from a loading standpoint.
