    Edelbrock says to use their 4 hole adapter which is different from all the aftermarket ones I have seen. That Holley above was also called the 4175, correct? It was their spread bore replacement for the Quadrajet, even had the same fuel inlet design so you could use the same steel fuel line.

    I change them as soon as the temps on the gauge are not normal (160-170 I feel is normal). Most often a piece of rust gets stuck in the stat and makes it run too cool.

    As far as the elbow fitment, I think there was an issue with the engines that had EFI, the elbow for the carbed engines wouldnt work for them probably because of some bracket for an ECU, not sure of other changes.
