    Thank you sir, I am sure loving the nice warm tone of the spar varnish on there, really brings out the he grain and definitely darkened the stenciling. I wish I had gallons of this stuff now!

    Was able to repurpose the ragged edged scraps of the old console and turn it into a binnacle mount. Thinking this is red oak or teak or something. Definitely highly rot resistant to have survived the neglect. 3rd coat of spar on the crate console
