    As for the 3.0 base motor. the 1988 is same as the 1974. Unbolt remove old, bolt in the new.

    yes, actually more. however the solenoids you need to test have the buss bar connecting them together but do not assume its the solenoids as there could be many many reasons. start with measuring voltage.

    there is a reason that two identical boats, one I/O and one outboard. the outboard will have 100hp as its max rating, the I/O can have 2000hp. the outboard is trying to pry the top of the transom off the boat the I/O is pushing the boat forward from the bottom of the transom and the stringers
