    yes , it can. need to inspect to be sure if there was some water left inside the pump from the last time it was pumping water then it could be just fine. also depends on how old the impeller is, old and stiff/brittle rubber will fall apart quicker

    there is a good chance it did hurt the rubber impeller running dry like that. only way to know is take it apart and inspect it the water lubricates and cools the rubber while it turns against the metal cup and wear plate, being dry it could have tore parts if the impellor off or melted it...

    What does the choke do on a Suzuki EFI??

    why is it starting and running OK if the IAC is stuck in the closed position? How are you trying to sending Electricity thru it? It is a stepper motor, so you cannot make it work properly by just giving it 12 volts.

    did you miss what Boscoe wrote on that? is there a wire that will need to go to ground to cut the engine off? White is the Yamaha colour for the kill circuit. How does the choke work on this motor? Is it electric? Blue is the Yamaha colour for the choke solenoid. Solenoid activated electric choke.
