Hello, I have a 1991 mercruiser 4.3 alpha 1 and need to know which gen I have.
My serial# 0D496768 says gen 1 but it has c-clips on trim and also trim mount is
about 4" from back of drive pointing to gen 2. Any thoughts ?

outboard is clunking when over 1/2 throttle, from what I've read the gear shift linkage needs adjustment. Can I adjust any thru the small cover plate on side halfway up shaft ? Or do I have to drop the gear unit and adjust it down there?
Hello, I recently purchased a '61 v-hull jonboat with a '76 25hp johnson. I ordered a prop from iboats, can I rest assured that I will receive this. I saw some reviews that were not so positive.
