I do not see a picture of the tip of the slow speed needle !-----Look under EXHAUST HOUSING for the parts.

A 1976 motor would not be prop rated.----Your location in Ontario?

Start the motor.----Remove plug wires one at a time.----Report what happens.

Check for water in one or more cylinders.

Start the motor.----Then push key in.-----Motor RPM should drop / change.----Does it ?

What is your 85 HP motor doing / not doing ??

In my opinion it was designed ( in a hurry ) to compete with the hot selling OMC 3 cylinder motors of that era.

A new factory key, or hardware store item?

What bore size is marked on the " smaller " 1983 carburetors?

Spark maximum advance is set for life of the motor.----Normally needs no adjustment.----Make sure it is correct.

Not a robust lower unit for a 70 HP.----And 2 carburetors for 3 cylinders.----Not on my list of favorite motors.

Should be 6 numbers for a part #

Not worth fixing.----A motor marketed as a Mercury.----Marketed as many others as well.

As per usual the seller just does not know what fits what.----That unit was NEVER offered on a 200 HP and only fits the 2 cylinder models.----Your location in Canada?

Look carefully.----There may be lifting lugs on the block.
