    Quit My Job . . .

Sounds like the current Sr Mgt at my place of employment. Trying to convince them that O&M is a real cost and time consideration (especially at a 35 yr old facility). And to consider that when dreaming of feel-good projects that are so fun to talk about.

    Broken Skeg Tip...Repairable?

Good info above on the skeg. Seeing that would make me leery of how that boat was understood, operated, and maintained in the past - so it would make me look even closer at everything. All of that could give you bargaining power if you are not bothered with anything else you find

    2002 Chaparral 286 SSI

Nice boat, and thanks for the pics! I think what alldodge is suggesting as a try, is that on some shifters, the entire shift handle pulls out when you push the "soft button". Sometimes, when encountering this type of shifters, pull from the the pivot where the "soft button" is The VP drive is...

Fresh water corrosion and anode choices…

sounds like your water (in the slip?) is basic salt water is generally more conductive, but there is likely stray current in your slip, if you're in one I would replace the anodes - you could go with a "softer" metal, see what a reputable local uses

    Mini Excavators

Looks nice. Not sure what you get for stormwater (from the sky, and from adjacent areas) and freezing - road drainage and maintenance are key in the longer term ("you can pay me now, or you can pay me later")

Well, it finally made it to the water- long story, hope it interests someone

Interested - it's about a boat, AND there's pictures. I'm assuming there's a typo or autofill going on, what is contained? Sounds like you got a couple overheat issues solved - that is good, hope that's it!

    2023 NFL/CFB News and Nonsense

I think he'll put a good little scare in our local NFL team, now that he's in our division, and that's good. Then, I think (hope?) our local NFL Team will rip 'em a new one. It'll be interesting to see first game of this season

    Hot Mess

Yes, agreed. Even the Marina I've had good working relationship for over 10 years (in/out, storage, slip, etc), and now I'm kinda stuck with their service dept b/c I recently have no way to move 'er, or place to work on 'er - just doesn't seem to want my service business. So I'm considering my...

1985 Bayliner 2750 Ciera Sunbridge Resto

Following this thread since its start, nice work, updates and pics! - and now it re-inspires and re-motivates me to keep working on (mostly O&M for now) on our 1998 25 ft Wellcraft. It was well-used and cared for, but nothing lasts forever. Looking forward to Maggers progress too

    Wash Down Pump

Agreed, For any pump, a lot has to do with headlosses after the pump. Elevation head and velocity head losses (line losses, including fittings) are likely your most significant considerations here.
