Go for it. I like doing split grips because you can hide the ends of thread wraps under the cork. I cut, glue up, and turn my own cork when the mood strikes. Sky is the limit.

Thanks, All thread work. Once you break them you’re better off replacing them. In certain circumstances they can be repaired depending where they broke but they will never be the same.

So I built a new one. At first I just slapped on a handle and guides on a blank and was going with it. The weather turned bad so I was housebound. Decided to do a little thread work. Been a while, I’m rusty but turned out decent.

Seems like a lot. I will say every deer I’ve shot in the past 25 years had ticks. Strong dislike for those blood suckers.

That’s an issue for sure. When you get in that area that’s between suburbia and rural you get a lot of folks feeding deer just to have them around to watch. It becomes a problem for many people.

I’m back and forth on that. In one area I hunt I’d probably take one out if I had the chance. I hate to take an animal I will not eat, or use the fur for something. But the land owners that want them gone. They do kill a considerable number of whitetail fawns.

Would you shoot one given the chance?

Sometimes I’ll shoot at flies at 50 yards. But I don’t kill em , I just wing em.
