zero chance i'll make this weather week. Thankfully even into early november we can get some upper 60 perfect days and i should be healed enough by then.
But if it was a new boat i'd be out in the 30's learning her.
i do have a question about this however.
this is the helm seat and was over the fuel tank. Is that what has stained it over the years? Both the exposed and the foam/fabric side are same color? Should i prime/paint this as well?
only replacing the bolster and i have MDO already soaked with OTF but will also get a coat of paint like this - the Rustoleum top coat i used for the floor.
45 year old wood still had original paint of it so i bet with a sand and new paint (and primer) will last a few more years.
lots of hull patches on boats like mine using rivets and 5200. Not doable on a toon? The shape would be made by progressively doing the rivets and pulling patch into shape?
everything is cut and waiting on my stainless staples and sewing kit arriving tomorrow. On the square pieces going to do a basic stitch at the corners before i fold over and staple.
so i did my first truly useful thing with AI, the cut plan for the new fabric.
i did flat glass table work for several years so could reached back and done it myself, but this sure is nice...
ok cool - i've seen progress from the couple three times i've clicked into there. Having been thru some really sh.tty IT events over my years the last couple here seem to have gone pretty smoothly.
