I use Firefox as well. Just reading this , I realize the incredible treasure in Boating information that is stored in this website. I believe that it should not be given away for free to some AI company as is possible right now. If this site is somehow protected and its information use rented...

Try and take a 2 or 3 pound hammer and while the engine is running press it against the flywheel housing in different places. See if the noise changes. If it does, the housing is loose somewhere

gimbal bearing?

Wondering if you can use your daily meds as a poison? Contraceptive pills will help control the population. It works on pigeons so why not rats?

The problem will not be the engine, because as the oldies of today, they will not be worn down by heavy use ( at least not the survivors). I do think that 75 years from now, gasoline will no longer be a popular energy source, but rather a thing of the past.

That goes to show. The Canadians learn how to skate before they can walk. Add to that a french accent ,some chauvinism, add some national pride and every Canadian on a skating rink becomes a devil in disguise.

It would be fine as long as the transom is in good shape and you use some strong backing so the bolts don't eat through the wood of the transom. If you intend to remove the outboard often then this would not be a good thing.

Gentlemen. Yegboats gave you a quiet nudge. The signs are there, that Yegboats is a lady, so the peeing outside may be a bit hard for her to relate to.

The expense is not what bothers me. A burial shroud has no pockets so I can't take my money with me.

I thought so too at first, but when I looked at it a bit deeper ,it turned out that these systems come with hoses that are cut to fit certain manifolds and special seals to close of passages in the manifolds and other brand specific things. hence my question.

I have cabin fever and I used to take out my 19 foot Islander with the 3 liter mecruiser motor even in January, mostly for close to shore brown trout fishing. Draining the water on the 3 liter unit is simple and fast. I now have a 4.3 liter and getting all the water out of the system seems much...

These boaters licenses are all very similar because nation wide, the rules of the water and the boating traffic signs are all very similar. I think that boating licenses will go the way of drivers licenses. Probably a tiny bit different in each state but the states will all recognize each...

In the NY certificate course you are taught the rules of the road from personal water vehicle to commercial shipping. It mostly teaches you to know all the signs and the right of way rules. It does not teach you to become a good boater. Only hands on teaching with an experienced coach will...

Part of the job of a skeg is protecting the propeller If it is shorter than the prop, your prop can get damaged when hitting a rock. There are skeg repair units that slide over the damaged skeg and that way you can fix it. Or you can have an extension piece welded on

There are a lot of states where the license is required and other states where it is not. NYS has been requiring a boating certificate for different age groups for a few years now. This year is the first that it is required for all ages. There are some funny exceptions. If you rent a boat or if...

If your residency is Florida, then as far as NY State is concerned you are from out of state. The law in NYS says that the boater safety certificate is not required for out of state boaters. It does not address boat ownership, only residency

It is not the weight as much as the weight distribution when on the trailer

The Islander is a 1989 Starcraft Islander 221 currently powered with a new ( factory rebuilt) 4.3 liter engine with a cobra outdrive. Sorry about that. I sometimes just take things for granted.

This is what you get when you mix an info harvester with AI. Add to that a sign up almost 4 years ago with a first post today and you know that there is trouble on the firewall front

In fact I do and it is free in NY but these online companies make you pay for "services" not the actual filing. Although you must be a wizard to unravel it.
