VP SX-M on a 1998 Wellcraft The zerk on the starboard side of the housing is gone - it may have come off when this area was being cleaned. Is it a standard zerk fitting available anywhere, or do I need to order it from some place specifically?

I have always applied and removed wax, etc. by hand. Looking to have a machine do some of the work - especially with more boat and cars these days. The photo shows the 7 in. Variable Speed Polisher/Sander (HF), foam bonnet, and microfiber bonnet I got. Do I need a foam pad under the bonnets?

The u-joints on 1998 Wellcraft with VP SX-M are reportedly "shot (1 almost seized)". Would the replacement be #3860842 that is the u-joint yolk assembly? I've seen the for about $450, to an amaz*n price of $281. Can anyone verify part number and know if the amaz*n one would be cheap crap?

Re: What do you pull your boat with? My son's 1990 Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel 2500. Pulls the 1998 Wellcraft 240 SE with ease. Actually makes the truck ride a bit better. That was the day we pulled 'er out last November in a bit of a gale with some sleet to make it fun.

I have a 1998 Wellcraft 240 SE. The aft seat cushion is hinged and lifts up. There is a space under there the length of the seat, not quite as wide as the seat, and has a drain at the bottom. Anybody have a boat like this and know what that space is intended for? Sorry, I don't have any pics...
