Thanks Speck, No doubt there are a lot of boats out there.

Thanks that’s a crestliner. No wood at all in the construction, all aluminum. I hear ya but I’m 100% not willing to travel those kinds of distance for a 14 foot jon boat. Big part of the reason is seems majority have questionable trailers. Within 100 miles there are some very populated areas...

Don’t get me wrong there are aluminum jons here under $1800, most are under 14 feet and a lot if not most of the 14’s reasonably priced have narrow beams and need help. Winter is setting in and I suspect a few good ones will pop up. Last winter I sold my Lowe deep V to get into a mod V suited...

Pack of Marlboro a day habit for years. Quit cold turkey over 30 years ago. Wife smoked menthols and struggled for a couple years on and off till she finally was done with it. Been more than 20 years for her.

Time to upgrade my junker 14 foot aluminum reservoir electric only boat. It’s seen better days. Been looking at used 16 foot flat bottom jon boats, nothing fancy just plain Jane basic boat, signs of wear and tear acceptable , most include a trailer of various states of quality. I can’t find...

Around these parts you’ll be hard pressed to find even a half decent truck rated at 15000lb towing for 20,000$.

Was looking at the overall leaders in all of pigskin pick ‘em. Ranked number one has 72 wins😮 Beyond me how guys can pick with that consistency 🤷‍♂️ Our guys and gals are ranked in the 50k’s

Exactly.

who woulda thought the Eagles would fall to the jets. Thought that game was a sure thing

A Wally Tender 48x would suit me just fine.

Nice!! That’ll do the job, hope you never need it. In the past I’ve considered a shotgun specifically designed for home defense. Keltec has one that caught my eye. Was about 800$. Probably would have snagged one if I was into some sort of three gun style competition and if crime was a tangible...

Quite an undertaking. That SU is Interesting choice of carb.

I’m Yes sir. When we were young I think my parents were the last ones around that got push button. Had the rotary with the long coiled cord

As far as the kids, both mine are adults in their 40’s will answer my calls 99% of the time and I do the same. Was never a big on phone calls even before text. Text is just another tool to communicate and has its place.

Alldodge, love the caddy’s. Wife had a 2016 ATS coupe with the 2 liter turbo, fun comfortable car to drive. Crazy the tech in cars. We bought a 2022 grand Cherokee new and the book for just the technology is hundreds of pages. A lot of stuff we will never use. I’ll stick with my low tech 2500...

I love Autumn, we usually get some spectacular weather and the trees are fantastic when the leaves change. Agree about winter. Come about January I’m completely sick of it. As far as putting the boats up. One comes home end of October the other I trailer back and forth and I’ll run the boat...

Yeah, doesn’t look very steep at all. Most around here have much more pitch.

Ahh! Known in the trades as sidewalk superintendent 😄

The fall bite is almost on us here. Water temps are down 15* from summer temps. Been fishing a couple days a week it’s been slow with only a good bass or two each time. Things should start to pick up as the temps continue to drop. Great time of year. Fishing picks up, and archery season is upon...

Happy birthday Speck !!
