So by lowest level you mean tabs are down more to push bow down? The engine rpm will bounce like that on the limiter as it drops spark to cylinders until rpms come down. If engine temp climbs at that rpm you need to look at the cooling system, if impeller has not been replaced I would do so...

Given the obvious rot would want the guy to drill into stringers and transom. The water that rotted the floor had to go down somewhere... Like rust on an old car what you see is likely the tip of the iceberg.

Wait sorry i misread the tb trouble shooting, if you do not get spark striking the green white its says to try new coil then replace module in that order… do u have a spare coil to try ?

If it is a good ground then that means the sensor is bad. Not surprising since it went scuba diving ... Would recommend getting an OEM sensor vs the aftermarkets ones. this is an OEM quicksilver from the quicksilver store on Amazon...

Follow the service bulletin he posted I circled where you are at in it - by striking the white and green lead to ground you are simulating what the sensor in the distributor does to get the coil to fire. If it does fire at coil the sensor is bad if it does not fire follow to testing for bad...

It is but lets do some diagnostic work first How about a little more description of the problem ? And what’s your serial number Have you checked your fuel filter contents for any thing but fresh clean gas?

No MPI is very good. 220 hp on your engine vs the 190 hp carbed model. yes the cap is a common fail point for misfires. Certainly could be other things but if you dont know when it was changed would be a good thing to rule out.
