Do you have spark coming off the coil? Take wire from coil of center of distributor cap and put near a ground and crank? Do you have spark? If you do have spark take distributor cap off and see if cap and rotor are ok. Look down carb when you pump the throttle does it shot gas in?

I suspect that you need a new starter which is to be expected after being dunked. You may have corrosion in wiring harness that is shorting and draining the batteries. Would start with a new starter and clean battery connections. Doesn't sound like you got it running ? Did you get the water...

Both are in need of rebuild. The one overflowing has a float and/or needle and seat issue. the one you need to choke has plugged fuel passages. Would not use it if you need to choke one to run as that cylinder will be lean and likely detonating which can fry the piston

Maybe it has more cup as designs may change over time.

How was it winterized? If it was drained u will have no issue

Yeah mine has sensor in there that is not hooked up …not needed on carbed engine

Cant comment on pitch unless you tell us what your current prop does in terms of wot performance… that is the starting point for where to go… ive bought all my props used off ebay , resold ones that didnt work great

If the carbs are overflowing fuel it is either from a needle and seat/ float issue or too much fuel pressure . I would get the carbs rebuilt and makes sure the fuel supply is clean of water and debris before tackling other issues liek the rotary valve. May be an issue there but would probably...

Voltage will drop some during cranking. Are your battery and ground connections clean and tight ? Is battery in good shape ?

Yes if you have fuel spitting out when u fill up likely vent is plugged. Next time this happens open the fill cap and see if tank is under a vacuum. If it runs better with cap open then go clear the vent

No that hole is the shift cable. Looks like your gimbal ring and bellhosuing is off? There is a 5/8 hose that connects to bellhousing clamps on a right angle fitting at top above gimbal bearing can put a hose on there or go inside engine compartment and find hose coming up from drive to the heat...

Would pull the drive , drain lube suspect u will find metal. Coupler splines could be chewed up to. Might grab at idle but not higher throttle you would see the end of the driveshaft chewed up, looking in coupler through gimbal bearing coupler splines would be chewed too. if it is the coupler...

Yes a alpha one gen one is a direct bolt in swap. Just need to match the gear ratios which should be stamped on the side. Given the age of both and possibility they were regeared at some point might be worth popping the top cap and counting teeth

they really are relays especially if u hang out with engineer weenies…not sure why they get called a solenoid

Sounds like a winner. The old prop must have been messed up as black max and black diamond are same prop under Mercury and Quicksilver labels respectively. if you are hitting that upper end of rpm range you are spot on. Just watch rpms when lightly loaded.

You could try going up one hole for a slightly larger pump shot see if that makes any difference

Best to start your own post so we can get details of what's going on. your examples sounds like you aren’t getting 12 v to coil either bad ignition switch, man overboard switch is tripped , or shift interrupt is tripped . Disconnect shift interrupt at shift plate to test .
