Did you check close to 5 psi and rotate the drive and prop shaft? If so, run it next season and pull the drain plug just enough every once in a while to see if something starts to show up

Its like the wizard of OZ, don't pay any attention to the thing behind the curtain

IMO (others do vary widely) one season isn't that big of a deal. As Bondo said, just check the filter Edit: see if its clear and that it smells like gas

ManualsLib.com has been a fairly trusted site for some time. Even Norton's list it as safe. Wife tried to download a old manual for a rice cooker and got the old warning pop up. Something along the line of Your computer has been infected by a Trojan virus and need to call Microsoft at a...

The knock sensor picks up on a per-ignition knock, but is actually heard as a ping. If this is an actual knock (some louder) then might be something else. As has been mentioned would be good to check in any case. Could use a serial number, but if its a MPI Might be a distributor cap going bad...

What is your serial number?

Should point to the 8 after install. Don't pay any attention to the other notch

Manta shows they started in 1981 and incorporated in NC. Annual revenue of $10M a year. Shows A+ with BBB but there are no reviews. Don't think I would worry about buying from them https://www.manta.com/c/mmz9hd4/wnc-marine-sales-inc

That's a clamp which holds the dizzy but is not put of. Should be able to move once loosened.

Or bolt on a 100hp 2 stroke

That's the main problem IMO

The cap doesn't look bad to me, but looks can be deceiving. Cap and rotor would be a good thing
