    On topic again. It is impossible to buy a new car, house, 2nd house for summer, pay some of a education loan and have all on variable interest rates. And have a storm destroy all / most of the items. Luck is most important in a long life span.

    Take the motor out for a rie ...BEFORE... buying it. Cold start Run it until heated up. Come back to the dock. Tie up. THEN stop it. try to do a instant restart with no choke or advanced throttle lever. Ask to check plugs after engine cools down a lot. Haggle on price. Enjoy the motor.

    I see several gasket areas at where the 2 cylinders are very close. Very uneven colors of surfaces there. The seals at those close spots can warp at high temperatures. Been there. Cold they seal up

    There is no way the engine can race way up. If the throttle valve does not ALSO open way up. A careful look down the carburetor throat while idling that fast. Will show it open a excessive amount for idle
